It is my pleasure to invite you to a luncheon meeting featuring Dr. Muliaman Hadad, Deputy Governor of Indonesia's central bank, Bank Indonesia (BI) and Mr. Ahid Luddin, Managing Director of Bank Negara Indonesia(BNI), one of Indonesia's  largest financial institutions.

Dr. Hadad has been a career banker with BI following his education at Australia's Monash University where he received a PhD in business and economics.  An active member of the Indonesian Economists Association,  Dr. Hadad (who has also headed the bank's research and supervision units) represents Bank Indonesia at numerous banking forums around the world.

Mr. Luddin supervises compliance and risk management for BNI and has a Master's in Economic Policy from the University of Illinois.

We are very pleased to be able to host these two Indonesian bank leaders in this era of financial uncertainty.

Dr.  David Denoon (Discussant), Professor of Politics and Economics at NYU, focuses on regional economic developments in Asia and how they affect the strategic alignment of the major powers. He is the author of: "Devaluation Under Pressure:  India, Indonesia, and Ghana"  (MIT Press).
